When an Aufguss Becomes a Spectacle: From July 10 to 12, 2026, the Aquarena Sauna in Bad Schinznach will serve as the venue for the Swiss Aufguss Championship.

For the first time since 2018, the title of Swiss Aufguss Champion will once again be awarded. The country’s best Aufguss masters will showcase their art of the Aufguss live before an audience and a jury. Over the course of three days, guests will experience show Aufguss performances that go far beyond traditional sauna rituals. The shows combine choreography, scent composition, rhythm, technique, and emotion into impressive multisensory experiences. Each show tells its own story. Scents, music, lighting, and the art of waving the towel come together to create an experience that you don’t just feel—you truly live through.

The Swiss Aufguss Championship, or SAM for short, will take place over these three days:
• Friday, July 10, 2026, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday, July 11, 2026, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Sunday, July 12, 2026, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

One Aufguss per guest is guaranteed. Select your preferred Aufguss time slot from the schedule and email your request to Oliver Cieslik. We will then confirm your slot. Slots are assigned based on availability.

The performance infusions will be judged by a panel consisting of Janos Zelenak (HU), Lay Pang Ong (MY), and Markus Nöll (DE).

To attend the Swiss Aufguss Championship, you must purchase an admission ticket. Tickets can be purchased in the online shop or on-site. To experience the show aufguss up close, you must also register at the Aquarena Sauna. Spectator seating is limited for each Aufguss, and admission is granted only while seats are available.

Your admission ticket also gives you unlimited access to the Aquarena Fun and Thermi Spa thermal baths. In addition, you can purchase a parking ticket for CHF 10.– at the thermal bath reception desk.

In addition, visitors with a valid SAM all-access pass will receive a 10% discount on the Cold Stone Massage at the BABOR Beauty Spa during the event. Bookings can be made on-site only.

The Bad Schinznach offers the perfect setting for this special occasion. A variety of saunas, steam rooms, relaxation areas, and the Aquarena Fun and Thermi Spa thermal baths combine to create a diverse experience. With the all-inclusive admission ticket, you can not only attend the show infusions but also enjoy the full range of facilities at the thermal baths. The show infusions take place in the Panorama Sauna.
